Summer Reading Performers

Mömandpöp

Trails Regional Library is excited to launch the 2019 Summer Reading Program "A Universe of Stories" on May 22! The program will run May 22-July 31 and kicks off with free children's performers at all eight branches. The Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) Regional Touring Program grant was awarded to Trails to bring award-winning children’s performers Mömandpöp to all eight of Trails Regional Library’s branches May 29-31, 2019. All performances are free and open to all ages. Check below to find a performance near you:

Dino O'Dell: Out of This World

Join Dino O’Dell at any of our eight branches this June for an interactive music and storytelling show about outer space science. He’ll have kid-friendly demos of gravity, a song about meteors, meteoroids, and meteorites, plus the story of Neil Armstrong to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing!

Mesner Puppet Theatre Presents: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Deathstar

What if George Lucas had decided to turn his epic space saga into a musical puppet show? Find out in this wacky parody of Star Wars written by Curt Bright and adapted for puppet theater by Associate Artistic Director Mike Horner. Suggested for adults and kids ages 12 and older. Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.

Mad Science Workshops: Living in Space

Experience the life of an astronaut as you suit up for space flight! Use teamwork to complete an important space mission, build a model space station and make your very own Cosmic Chronometer watch to measure the time here on Earth! This workshop is for  children ages 6-12. Registration is required with a limit of 25 participants.
