Hello everyone! We know you are missing your library as much as we are missing you! We have had several inquiries about our plans to re-open and I want to share an update.
Currently, we are putting together a gradual re-opening plan with guidance from the public health office. This plan will begin with curbside hold delivery. We do not have a tentative date set yet, but will begin advertising the date as soon as we have the necessary components on hand to execute the new library service and library staff trained in the new workflow.
In the meantime, as we draw near to the end of our virtual Spring Reading Challenge, we want to let you know that we WILL have a Summer Reading Program! It will look a little different this year, but we still have lots of plans to keep patrons of all ages reading and engaged in learning over the summer. Look for an update in mid-May about the start date for Summer Reading and our virtual program lineup.
We will continue to offer temporary digital access cards for anyone over the age of 13 and continue to waive any fines or account blocks for patrons to access all of our digital resources. Our Hoopla partners have made extra borrows available each month in addition to our increase to 10 items per month. We continue to prioritize patron requests on Overdrive as well.
Please continue to follow us at trailslibrary.org and here to stay up to date. Thank you stay healthy and stay safe!
