Our library continues to work toward providing access in the new era of COVID-19. To ensure that residents of Johnson and Lafayette County have access to a library card, we have extended our Temporary Digital Access Card to all residents ages 13 and older through December 31, 2020.
Each temporary card will include a library card number that can be used to borrow digital materials, access library databases, and borrow up to 10 physical library items at a time through our Curbside Service.
These cards are only for patrons ages 13 and older in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). However, family members are certainly welcome to create an account.
When our library re-opens for in-person service, we will honor each temporary card number with a brand new library card with full borrowing privileges.
We want to thank our patrons for their continued patience as we navigate these uncharted times.
