New COVID Level Plan

Trails Regional Library’s Board of Trustees has approved an updated COVID-19 Plan for its 8 branch locations. This new plan comes in response to the changing nature of the pandemic as it affects library services. This plan includes 5 color-coded levels that are specific to each branch location. Level changes will be communicated on posted signs outside every library building, on the library website, and will be shared with local news outlets for publication.

Even in the highest level, library service will be available on an appointment basis and Curbside Service, Digital Resources, and 24/7 parking lot WiFi access will continue as normal.

This new COVID Level plan reflects new library workflows established since the beginning of the pandemic. Mitigation strategies, including self-checkout machines, virtual program offerings, virtual technology assistance, and protective barriers around circulation desks, are now a fixture of library service and will allow the library to maintain a higher level of accessibility regardless of changes in the pandemic or other health crises.
