Trails Regional Library Foundation

Trails Regional Library Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is "to solicit, receive, hold and administer gifts in accordance with the intent or designation of the donors" to support and benefit the Trails Regional Library District. It is governed by a 10 member Board of Directors comprised of citizens from Johnson and Lafayette Counties.

Trails Regional Library Foundation was created in 2004 to seek additional financial support for the district and its eight community branches in Concordia, Corder, Holden, Knob Noster, Lexington, Odessa, Warrensburg and Waverly. While the library district is able to maintain its branches with existing revenue, expansion or replacement of buildings is not possible without private donations. The library struggles to stay abreast of changes in technology and materials with its annual budget and is challenged to respond to the increased demand for expanded programming and services.

Support the Foundation

Each year, donations from our Foundation supporters generate funding for programming, library improvements, and designated projects that have a lasting impact. Donations and dues go directly to the branch in your community unless otherwise specified. All Foundation supporters enjoy early access to Spring and Fall book sales at every branch.
